The proven mechanical solution for screw presses
The Foots Shearing Device (FSD) is a solution developed and installed by HF Press+LipidTech for screw presses. It meets the requirements of EU Regulation 1935/2004 and is therefore suitable for use in food production.

Used to remove sludge from a press during operation, it solves challenges in the pressing process and offers various added values for efficiency, safety and plant operation.

Highlights

  • Automated cleaning during operation: The shearing system continuously cleans the strainer during the ongoing pressing process. This means that the press remains functional without having to be opened for cleaning work.
  • Can be retrofitted to existing presses: The FSD can be integrated into existing systems, offering a flexible solution for process optimization.
  • User-friendly and durable knives: The knives can be fitted or changed quickly and easily by the operator. They can also be resharpened, making them particularly durable.
  • Safety stop sensor: When the side doors are opened, the appliance stops automatically and therefore poses no safety risk.

The FSD shears off the sludge that builds up during operation directly at the strainer and thus prevents the strainer cages from becoming encrusted. It offers:
