We look back on a past rich in tradition. Founded in 1855 as Harburger Eisenwerke (HEB), the company developed over the decades into an international mechanical engineering company. In the 1950s, Friedrich Krupp took over HEB and established screw press technology for edible oil and biomass. Our SVP screw press was the first machine of its kind to be produced in Germany. Since then, we have continued to develop through constant innovation and have become a leading company in the manufacture of screw presses and pressing systems over the decades.

in 2005, the company is renamed Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH following the acquisition of L. Possehl & Co. mbH. The integration into the Possehl Group marks a significant milestone in our company history. The acquisition created a stable basis for long-term, sustainable growth and financial stability. At the same time, Possehl acted as a driving force for modernization and structural development, making it a real driver of innovation and future viability.

Over 2,500 screw presses and a large number of pressing and refining systems have already been delivered and successfully commissioned worldwide. As a technology leader, we are proud of countless satisfied customers and reference projects. With this expertise and our decades of experience, we have become the first and most reliable point of contact for our customers.
