Innovative drive concept for screw presses
The HF NexusDrive is a new drive concept developed by HF Press+LipidTech for our screw presses. The compact synchronous drive offers a powerful alternative to the standard belt drive. Developed under the leadership of HF, we are setting new standards for our screw press technology together with our partners "Nidec DESCH" and "OSWALD".

Highlights

  • Efficiency: With an efficiency of > 96 %, the HF NexusDrive uses the energy supplied very efficiently and minimizes losses.
  • Energy savings: Under ideal laboratory conditions, energy savings of approx. 5 % have been demonstrated compared to the belt drive system.
  • Torque increase: At 80,000 Nm, the HF NexusDrive supplies around 10,000 Nm more torque than the belt drive system.
  • Significantly reduced noise level: With a reduction from 83 dB (belt drive) to 71 dB (synchronous drive), the HF NexusDrive offers a significant reduction in noise level.

Applications and advantages

The HF NexusDrive, as an alternative drive concept for our screw presses, offers various advantages in operation due to its design:

  • High reliability and constant performance: Over its operating time, the drive loses neither reliability nor performance. This ensures stable operating parameters.
  • Flexible power reserve: The motor and gearbox can withstand heavy overloads for short periods. This enables, among other things, the restarting of jammed presses.
  • Reduced maintenance effort: The elimination of belts reduces inspection and maintenance effort as well as wear.
